USPS Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is on Saturday, May 10!

On Saturday, May 10th, the Golden Postal Carriers are once again taking part in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. All food that is collected in Golden will be donated to the Golden Food Pantry. This food will then be given to Golden residents in need.

With the increased price of food and cost of living, the Golden Food Pantry is seeing an increase in Golden residents needing food assistance. We would love your donations of non-perishable food. You just need to place a bag of food by your mailbox on May 10 and the postal carriers will pick it up.

We also are in need of volunteers on May 10 to help us sort and shelve the donated food at the Golden Food Pantry at 1401 Ford in downtown Golden. We need volunteers, age 12 and older, from 3-7 pm (most volunteers sign up for 2-hour slots). For safety reasons, anyone ages 12-15 would need to be accompanied by an adult.

If anyone could come and help us for a few hours, they would be helping members of their own community. Below is a link for the Sign Up Genius website where volunteers can easily sign up for a time slot that works best for them. Please invite other family members or neighbors to join!

Thank you,
Mandy Liao and Barry Bettis
